This movie doesn't have a director yet, which pretty much means it's not coming out in 2010.
I don't think they're ever really going to adapt this. Same deal with Uncharted and Kane and Lynch. Just because a studio has rights to something, that doesn't mean they're going to make it a film, or that it's "confirmed" or whatever.
Fan Tastic's got it right. Drake's Fortune is better than Metal Gear, Among Thieves is going to curb stomp it.
MGS 4 sold about the same in America as Left 4 Dead and COD World at War.

I like a good RPG, but come on...of course the men are girly!
That's cool, I'm not gonna try and change your mind or anything, but it had the complete opposite effect on me.
Among other goofiness, MGS 4 has giant robots that "moo" like cows, a woman in a dog costume as a villain, and a guy with no arms who puts a sword in his mouth and tries to fight. It's ridiculous and it takes itself WAY too seriously.
I'd have gone with Rush 2 as far as racing games go. The stunt track never, ever gets old.

That's cool that most of the cast from Quantum of Solace and Casino Royale got together for the game, but some of them really sounded like they didn't want to be there, especially Eva Green.

Yeah, maybe if Star Wars is the only movie you've ever seen in your life. That's funny you mention Metal Gear Solid, because those games are notorious for lifting entire characters and scenes from films like Escape From New York, From Russia With Love, The Rock, Boondock Saints, etc. You trash the film industry, but without these flicks, you wouldn't have MGS.
